“HINDI LANGUAGE”
The Roots of the Hindi language goes back to the Sauraseni and Apabhraṃśa dialect( which is a direct descendant )of Vedic Sanskrit. Devanagari is the standardized script for Hindi.
Hindi is written in Devanagri script and draw vocabulary from Sanskrit.
During the 10th century to the beginning of the 14th century “( literature of Adi-Kal)”
Apabhramsha poetry was just like Hindi. These lines indeed shows Khari Boli.
Various Raso Parmal Raso, Vishaldev Raso were written in this Adi Kal.
During the 14th- 17th century
“(Literature of Bhakti Kal)”
Devotional poetry emerges out, there are huge contributions of Poets like Surdas, Tulsi Das, Pranchand Chauhan, Mera bai etc. The poetries emphasise Knowledge.
During the 16th century to 18 century

Various Ritimukta group of poet highlighted the power of love through their poetry. Rasa, Alankara, Sayaka came out from poetics.
In 1757, when East India Company became sovereign in Bengal, they failed to understand the language.
The colonial mindset got reflected in the keen interest of the British in Indian Classical vernacular languages for purpose of effective administration.
Colonial language policies of the British (for Punjabi & Telegu) stressed the need for vernacular language.
So, they organised Largest Project which can stabilise British Rule.
This Book “A Grammer of Hindoostane language ” by John Gilchrist was written in 1796.
Sole purpose for writing the Grammar was to give benefit to the British.
He appropriated that language of Hindustan should be Hindustani (geographical referant) for which he took words from both Hindi and FAT
This resulted in Several irregular words where some are Feminine for Muslims and some are Masculine for Hindu.
Several times He used was unable to hold back his colonial self and he describes the Indian as Poor and Uncultured.

Infiltrating the Urdu words, with the Hindi for colonization of language by done by both Mughals and the British.
During the Early Mughal Era, Muslim Poets use Turkish, Persian and Hindi languages in their Poetry.
Urdu was introduced later, around 1780
And the Book “A Grammar of Hindustane language was written 1796”
This is how the colonisation of Language happened
During the Middle of the 18h Century (Literature of Adhuni Kal)
The phase is divided into 4
•Age of Bharatendu
•Dwivedi Yug
•Chhayavada Yug
•Contemporary Period.
Bharatendu Hamish Chandra Ji fought against “Urdu Begam”
Great poets like Maithali Saran Gupta revived the traditional poetry translating Meghnadvadha Kavya into Hindi,
•Maharvir Prasad Diwedi portrayed social economic and political problems through poetry.
In 1920 aesthetic poets like Makhanlal Chaturvedi, Balkrishna Sharma,
JayaShankra Prasad, Devaki Nandan Khatri Harivansh Rai Bachchan etc gave us the poetry of passion in Hindi Languages.
Currently, we are lacking the Pure Hindi between us, remember the contribution of Poets and people who have contributed towards the literature of Hindi
So, Hindi is way older than Urdu,
Decolonization of the Hindi Language is a must. Make a mark on the world that can never be erased. Let the Legacy of Our languages Stay forever.
