Few days ago, the authorities in Brazil discovered suitcases full of 1.3 tons of cocaine on a private Turkish Jet headed to Belgium. The flight initially took of from Izmir then went to Riyadh then to Malaga then to Fortaleza & finally caught in Sao Paulo. english.elpais.com
The Brazilian authorities arrested 1 Spanish citizen & 4 Turkish citizens, all of which were on the plane. Some reports tried to link Saudi Arabia to the incident, although the plane stoped briefly in Riyadh & such transit flights aren’t inspected according to civil aviation laws
The jet is owned by a Turkish citizen, departed form Turkey & the recent leaks of ties between the AKP party & the Mafia explains a lot about such dirty operations. I believe they went to Riyadh only to add a well-known city in combating drug trafficking on the trip’s itinerary.
