Rewiring your addicted brain to LEVEL UP your life - Neuro Plasticity

If you are hoping to melt away the habits holding you back,
If you want to rewire your way of thinking,
If you want to stop looking at the world with the same tainted lens,
Improve your memory, focus better, get rid of brain fog,
Then this thread is for you.
People falsely believe addictions are the end zone - old habits die hard.
WRONG.
Scientifically this is untrue -
The human brain is a magnificent organ capable of a myriad of things.
Changing the way it functions isn't unheard of - difficult yes, impossible NO.
Neuroplasticity is your brain's ability to mould itself according to the stimulus it recieves
Stimulus could dopamine, or certain thought patterns or habits, Emotions.
If you want to break away from this, your brain has to be rewired to perform differently.
Reshaped
Your brain is wired to function like this -
The habits you repeatedly indulge in wire your brain to function a certain way.
This is to conserve mental energy and make it easier to do things you always do.
When this idea is clear to you,
It's easy to mould it to serve you.
All of life's beauty stems from the human mind.
Creation, nurturing, innovation - all of them.
Corrupting this pinnacle of technology with low level action is a self decaying process.
You are essentially shooting yourself in the foot
However all hope is not lost.
You train vigorously to modify your body
Likewise you can train your mind and reshape it into something that will elevate you to greatness
All it takes is to change the stimulus you feed it with
What it consumes, it creates.
If it can function, your brain can adapt.
Keep in mind a one size fits all approach will not work here.
They say it takes 21 days to form a habit - False.
People learn and unlearn at varied speeds.
Before you begin understand that you will need patience.
You are going to unlearn years of mental programming.
The best approach is to think of it as a game
This is why I said 'Level up' in the title.
The more you improve the higher your level is this game of life.
The rewards are proportional
Big wins for big sacrifice.
However, unlike video games
As you level up, it gets easier.
⚔️ Stages of Rewiring
➼ Cellular reshaping - Your neurons have been miswired due to toxic usage. The first stage is to reset them into base function.
➼ Neuro stimulation - Using external stimulus to alter the state of active neurons. Light, sound, movement are used here.
It helps to revitalize dormant neural circuits in the brain and begin the healing process.
Most accessible form of this would be physical exercise & reading to create new thoughts.
➼ Modulation - Restore the balance in an excited brain to quiet the noise.
Your brain when un modulated is constantly anxious - fight or flight mode.
This has to be turned off to sleep better, conserve energy and grow.
This energizes the mitochondria (powerhouse of the brain).
All of this happens with chemical reactions involuntarily.
➼ Relaxation - Once you quiet the noise, your brain begins to store this surplus energy to use for healing.
You tend to sleep better at this stage.
Cerebral spinal fluid carries out toxins from the glia when you sleep.
Lack of sleep leads to toxic buildup
Makes you groggy.
➼ Differentiation and Learning
Your rested quiet brain is now ready for rewiring and learning
Several brain exercises exist to train your brain at this stage.
All these phases are required to fully utilize neuroplasticity to its potential.
This is how you train your mind.
This was an overview of the theory.
Let's get down to practice
Your brain now, is a product of all your habits, thoughts, experiences and emotions.
To rewire you need to break away from negative habit loops.
Replace them with new better ones
Strengthen with regular use.
⚔️ New experiences
The first thing you need to do is be uncomfortable
Shake your brain awake - it's been passive for far too long.
Find and involve in activities that you haven't partaken in before
This is to condition your brain into accepting changes
For smooth transition
Read this thread I've written before to help you achieve this step.
Once you've unlearned and shaken off the dirt,
Now you refine and replace with things that will serve you well.
Get out of your comfort zone and do new things.
This will vastly speed up the process.
Do difficult things, challenge your mind.
Train both the mind and the body.
This will be your guide,
The more you engage in new activities greater the number of neural networks built.
These pathways get stronger over time.
Remember what this exercise means,
A new brain means a new you.
New thinking, new level of existence.
