@danm2021 @pm not sure it’s going to be zero sum. a great fundamental equity analyst has developed skills & tools over time that helps them analyze parts of financial reports (10ks & s-1 etc) to make investing decisions. using gpt3 or more broadly “ai” could augment human process by

@danm2021 @pm doing computer things well (processing insanely huge amounts of data, looking for patterns, presenting the data etc) so the human can be best equipped to do what they do (make investing decisions) it could raise productivity an order of magnitude if it’s working alongside humans

@danm2021 @pm reading a 10k or s1 is a lot of work but also gpt3 wouldn’t know what to do unless there is humans telling it “ok this is what we look for when making investing decisions” it would be nice to even know what particular filing might be top priority for a given PM or strategy
