Time to end history appropriation! Let's start with the Chalukyas.
*The Velvikudi plates of the Pandya Prince Kochchadaiyan Ranadhira mention his victory over the "Maharatha". The 'Maharatha" here is Badami Chalukya Emperor Vikramaditya I.
* Vikraman Solan Ula, a work on Vikrama Chola mentions that Chola King Kulottunga I invaded the Konkan and Kannad countries, and humbled the pride of the "Maratha King" Vikramaditya IV Chalukya.
After Bijjala of Mangalvedha Kalchuris usurped the throne, the Kalyani Chalukyas shifted their capital to Annigeri(Dharwad dist.), then to Banavasi and then settled in Sangamesvar as Mahamandaleshwars under Yadavas. We shall post a detailed thread on Sangamesvar Chalukyas soon.
