It’s official:
After 4.5 years at the same company, I’ve quit my job.
I’m nervous & excited but in a good way.
Now I’m investing in myself by putting all my efforts into freelancing, content creation & building my SaaS business.

A small recap of the last years ↓
I've graduated from university 5 years ago without working a single day as a software developer.
I didn't really enjoy programming at that time and wasn't sure if it's the right thing for me. Maybe I've made a huge mistake but just continued because there were no other options.

Right after some travel vacation, I've started to work as a full-time employee at a company that mainly focuses on consulting & the integration of software solutions.
I've got lucky and came into a project in an early stage, with a great team & many possibilities to grow.

What followed was an awesome journey from learning how to use Git and not to debug everything with console.log to designing & implementing whole architectures on AWS serving millions of customers.
Fears of taking the wrong career path vanished almost immediately.

I've learned more than I could ever think of and had the chance to experiment with new technologies with a lot of freedom on how to tackle problems.
But what is even more important:
I've met great people and made friendships for life.

I'm thankful for all the support and opportunities I received and the inspiring, thoughtful, and brilliant people I had the chance to work with.
I enjoyed every single day, even if there were stressful weeks and haunting deadlines.
But now it's time to tackle something new.

What's ahead of me:
- starting at a new early-stage project as a freelancer
- continuing bootstrapping my SaaS, but with high dedication now
- investing more time into creating high-quality content for software engineers
Beyond excited to see what the future holds 🔥
