Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute is delighted to support Mythopia in a six-day workshop on Virata Parvan. विराटपर्वन is the 4th section of the epic Mahābhārata.
It tells about the happenings in the 13th year of forest exile of Pānḍava-s through a dialogue between Vaiśampāyana and Janamejaya.
There are five upaparva-s (subsections) of Virāṭa-parvan. This workshop aims to do a more detailed study of this parvan. Dr. Prasad Bhide, the speaker of the sessions, shall read the selected part of the text of the critical edition of Mahābhārata prepared by BORI, Pune.
