Thread 🧵 this thread will mention few examples of the massacres and mass takfir of Muhammad Ibn Abdul wahhab the Khariji upon the muslims of the south west Asia.

The original Wahhābiyyah are the followers of the horn of shaytan, Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb. He was the son of the praised Hanbali scholar, ʿAbd al-Wahhāb and was born in al-'Uyayynah.

His major problem was that he regarded some Fiqhi issues as major issues of belief and disbelief and started to regard people as polytheists and disbelievers based upon that. He did not stop here: He said that whosoever does not regard these people as polytheists and/or

disbelievers is a disbeliever as well. This lead him to regard basically almost all Muslims and scholars as polytheists and disbelievers. The issues based upon which he started his Takfir were usually issues which were either forbidden, disliked and sometimes allowed or even

recommended (for e.g. he regarded the seeking of intercession through the Prophet as shirk akbar despite the 4 madhabs permitting it).

When his father saw that his son had developed these strange views and had deviated from the way of the Ahl al-Sunnah, he forbade him to spread his views. He feared that his son would be the cause of great tribulations in Najd after his demise and he was indeed right.

When his father died, Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhāb started spread his new call.
The reason why it's important to know about the history of the original Wahhābiyyah is because it's necessary in order to understand the roots of Khawārijsm of an organization like ISIS and also in order not

to be fooled by the deception, lies and propaganda of the Mashayikh of the so called “Salafī” movement.
I'll bring you the relevant quotes in Arabic from the original Wahhābi books, and I will summarize it.

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥-𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦:

بلغه الخبر أن بوادي الشام وعربانه من عنزة وبني صخر وغيرهم فيها , فلما وصل تلك الناحية لم يجد فيها أحداً منهم , وإذا قد سبقه النذير إليهم , فاجتمعوا على دوخي بن سمير رئيس ولد علي من عنزة , وهو من وراء الجبل المعروف بطويل الثلج قرب نابلس , نازلين عين القهوة من جبال حوران , ولما بلغ

ابن سمير ومن معه إقبال سعود إليهم انهزم بمن معه من البوادي ونزلوا الغور من حوران , فسار سعود في تلك الناحية, وأقبل فيها وأدبر , واجتاز بالقرى التي حول مزيريب وبصرى , فنهبت الجموع ما وجدوا فيها من المتاع والطعام , وأشعلوا فيها النيران , وكان أهلها قد هربوا عنها لما سمعوا بمسيره

, ثم نزل عين البجة , وروى منها المسلمون!! وشربت خيلهم وجيوشهم....
ثم رجع قافلاً إلى وطنه ومعه غنائم كثيرة من الخيل والمتاع , والأثاث والطعام , وقتل من أهل الشام عدّة قتلى , وحصل في الشام رجفة ورهب عظيم بهذه الغزوة , في دمشق وغيرها من بلدانه وجميع بواديه

لكن هو أتى من الشام، وهم يعبدون ابن عربي، جاعلين على قبره صنما يعبدونه، ولست أعني أهل الشام كلهم، حاشا وكلا; بل لا تزال طائفة على الحق، وإن قلّت، واغتربت

In the 1st quote, it is described how a number of Muslims were killed, how they (the Wahhābis) robbed them, burned their things and how people fled. It also says that this attack caused a huge fear in the hearts of the people of al-Sham.

In the 2nd quote, Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhāb accuses the majority of the people of al-Sham of worshipping Ibn Arabi.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐤𝐚𝐡:

وفي هذه السنة اشتد الغلاء والقحط على الناس ... وأما مكة فالأمر فيها أعظم مما ذكرنا بسبب الحرب والحصار وقطع الميرة والسابلة , وذلك حيث انتقض الصلح بين غالب وبين سعود , فسدّت الطرق كلّها عن مكة من جهة اليمن وتهامة والحجاز ونجد , لأنهم كلهم رعية سعود وتحت أمره , فثبت عندنا وتواتر

أن كيلة الأرز والحب بلغت في مكة ستة أريل , وكيلتهم أنقص من صاع نجد , وبيع فيها لحوم الحمير والجيف بيعت فيها بأغلى الأثمان ، وأكلت الكلاب ، وبلغ رطل الدهن ريالين , ومات خلق كثير منهم جوعاً

الأمر الثاني: الكفر بما يعبد من دون الله، والمراد بذلك تكفير المشركين، والبراءة منهم، ومما يعبدون مع الله. فمن لم يكفر المشركين من الدولة التركية، وعباد القبور، كأهل مكة وغيرهم، ممن عبد الصالحين

وعدل عن توحيد الله إلى الشرك، وبدّل سنّة رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالبدع، فهو كافر مثلهم، وإن كان يكره دينهم،ويبغضهم، ويحب الإسلام والمسلمين; فإن الذي لا يكفر المشركين، غير مصدق بالقرآن، فإن القرآن قد كفر المشركين، وأمر بتكفيرهم، وعداوتهم وقتالهم

In the 1st quote, it is described how the Wahhābis made an embargo against the city during a drought and many people had died from hunger.
In the 2nd quote, he accuses the people of Makkah of being “grave worshippers” and also accuses the Ottomans of being polytheists.

He also says that whoever doesn’t make takfir on them is also an disbeliever.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐪:

وفيها في رمضان سار سعود رحمه المعبود , بالجنود المنصورة والخيل العتاق المشهورة , من جميع نواحي نجد وعربانها وقصد الشمال , وأغار على سوق الشيوخ المعروف عند البصرة , وقتل منهم قتلى كثيرة , وهرب أناس وغرقوا في الشط

Here it is described how they killed many people in markets and how many people drowned.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐥-𝐀𝐡𝐬𝐚:

فلما كان قبل طلوع الشمس ثور المسلمون بنادقهم دفعة واحدة , فأرجفت الأرض وأظلمت السماء , وثار عج الدخان في الجو , وأسقط كثير من الحوامل في الأحساء , ثم نزل سعود في الرقيقة المذكورة , فسلم له , وظهر له جميع أهل الأحساء على إحسانه وإساءته , وأمرهم بالخروج فخرجوا , فأقام في ذلك المنزل

مدّة أشهر يقتل من أراد قتله ويجلي من أراد جلاءه ، ويحبس من أراد حبسه ، ويأخذ من الأموال ، ويهدم من المحال ، ويبني ثغوراً ، ويهدم دوراً ، وضرب عليهم ألوفاً من الدراهم وقبضها منهم

… وأكثر سعود فيهم القتل … فهذا مقتول في البلد ، وهذا يخرجونه إلى الخيام ، ويضرب عنقه عند خيمة سعود ، حتى أفناهم إلا قليلا ، وحاز سعود من الأموال في تلك الغزوة ما لا يعد ولا يحصى

وقد بلغني أنكم في هذا الأمر قمتم وقعدتم، فإن كنتم تزعمون أن هذا إنكار للمنكر، فيا ليت قيامكم كان في عظائم في بلدكم تضاد أصلي الإسلام: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمداً رسول الله! منها، وهو أعظمها: عبادة الأصنام عندكم من بشر وحجر

In the 1st quote, it is described how Ibn Saʿūd (a student of Ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb) massacred most of the people, killed whoever he desired and it is also described that this caused extreme fear to the point that pregnant women would have miscarriages.

In the 2nd quote, Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb accuses the people of al-Ahsa of worshipping idols.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚:

فلما أصبحوا –أي جيوش الوهابية- شنوا عليهم الغارة , فخرج إليهم أهل البلد , فاشتد بينهم القتال , فلما خرج عليهم الكمين الأول صبروا حتى بدا لهم الكمين الثاني , فلم يملكوا إلا الفرار , فتفرقوا في الشعاب والجبال , وقتل المسلمون منهم مئة رجل ,

وغنموا كثيراً من الذخائر والأموال , وقتل من المسلمين سبعة

قتل سليمان بن خويطر , وسبب ذلك أنه قدم بلدة حريملا خفية –وهم إذ ذاك بلد حرب- فكتب معه قاضي البلدة سليمان بن عبد الوهاب –أخو الشيخ- كتاباً إلى أهل العيينة , ذكر فيها شبهاً مريبة وأقاويل محرفة وأحاديث مضلة , وأمره أن يقرأها في المحافل والبيوت , فألقى ذلك في قلوب بعض أهل العيينة

شبهات غيّرت قلوب من لم يتحقق الإيمان , ولم يعرف مصادر الكلام , فأمر الشيخ به أن يقتل فقتل!

وفي شوال من هذه السنة , ارتد أهل حريملاء! , وكان قاضيها سليمان بن عبد الوهاب , أخا الشيخ محمد بن عبد الوهاب

Before I will summarize the contents of these quotes, I would like to provide some context. The people of Huraymila were initially early supporters of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb. The Qadi of Huraymila was Sulaymān ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb,

his elder brother. He advised them to fear Allah and not to take part in the killing of Muslims that his brother was calling them to and wrote a letter, which he named as Fasl al-Khitab fil Radd 'ala Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Wahhab.

This letter was filled with strong proofs such that the people of Huraymila thereafter stopped supporting Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb and his commands to kill the inhabitants of all other cities of the region. This letter was sent to 'Uyayyna.

The person who transported the letter was killed by the followers of his brother on the command of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb himself.

Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb also made Takfir upon his brother and the people of Huraymila in his Mufid al-Mustafid. His followers thereafter attacked the township for their "apostasy" and killed many!

This shows to you that this Khāriji was unable to respond to the refutations of the scholars and therefore chose to make Takfir and simply kill his opponents. That this is the behavior of thugs and not scholars is not needed to be stated here.

The first quote shows his command to slaughter +100 men from Huraymila. The 2nd quote shows him commanding to kill Sulaymān bin Khwaytir,the person transporting the letter.The 3rd quote shows how the people of Huraymila “apostatised” in the words of Ibn Ghannam,a student of MIAW

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐧:

والممشى الثالث: نحرناك في رأس الهندية، فلم نجدك، وقدمنا إلى المشهد، قواسة يقوسون حفره، فلما قصر الخشب، رجعنا ونزلنا الهندية، وقعدت جموع المسلمين! حتى وصلت قريبا من خان ذبلة، وكل من لقوه وضعوا عليه السيف، ومن خان ذبلة إلى البصرة، أقمنا بها قريبا من عشرين ليلة،

نأخذ ونقتل من رعاياك الحاضر والبادي، والأثر يدل على المؤثر; انظر ديارك الفلاحين والبوادي، من بغداد إلى البصرة، كم دمرت من الديار، ولم يبق فيها أثر - ولله الحمد والمنة - كل جميع هذه الجهة.

وما ذكرت من جهة الحرمين الشريفين، الحمد لله على فضله وكرمه، حمدا كثيرا كما ينبغي أن يحمد، وعز جلاله، لما كان أهل الحرمين آبين عن الإسلام، وممتنعين عن الانقياد لأمر الله ورسوله، ومقيمين على مثل ما أنت عليه اليوم من الشرك والضلال والفساد،

وجب علينا الجهاد بحمد الله فيما يزيل ذلك عن حرم الله وحرم رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم من غير استحلال لحرمتهما

Here Ibn Saʿūd admits to making takfir on them and spilling their blood.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗱𝗵:

ففر أهل الرياض في ساقته الرجال والنساء , هربوا على وجوههم إلى البر , وقصدوا الخرج , وهلك منهم خلق كثير عطشاً وجوعاً , ذكر لي أن الرجل من اهل الرياض يأخذ الغرب (دلو كبير) يجعل فيه ماء يحمله على ظهره ,

والغرب لا يمسك الماء , والإبل عنده لا يركبها , وتركوها خاوية على عروشها , الطعام واللحم في القدور! , والسواني في المناحي والأبواب لم تغلق , وفي البلد من الأموال ما يعجز عن الحصر ...ا

Here, Ibn Bishr the Wahhābi historian describes the Wahhāb conquest of Riyadh where most Muslim families had to leave the city due to fears of being mass slaughtered. A lot of them (men, women, children etc.) died due to thirst. Letting families die in the desert.

The list is actually several times longer than this but these are just some examples to make a point. also I will appreciate it if someone took the effort to translate all my quotations to English, jazakallah, so that more people can understand clearly.
