A meta-analysis of 400 studies, found that music improves the body's immune system function and reduces stress. Music was also found to be more effective than prescription drugs in reducing anxiety before surgery.
What can the right music do for you?
Surgery:
In trials of invasive surgeries, those who listened to music before their procedure had reduced anxiety and a reduced need for sedatives. The operating room (listeners) reported less discomfort during their procedure. Recovery room (listeners) lowered opioids use.

Music therapy can help those that are recovering from a stroke/TBI and have damaged the L-brain region.
