How to succeed:
(Without being successful)
Read the thread.
First, don’t be confused about success. Success is not what you have been told. Success has only one quality - it is durable. Anything that can be taken away or perish is not success. Now you decide what is that single-most-important ā€˜durable’ thing for you.
Once you have decided, treat it like a bank balance. Make two columns - deposit/withdrawal. Then start investing in that ā€˜durable’ thing, through learning, experimenting, experiences, networking or whatever increases your deposit column. Never withdraw more than that.
Use your deposit for further R&D, innovation, creating mechanisms. The cost of success is very high. So use your energies very efficiently and only for that ā€˜durable’ thing. Deposit every experience.
Life is surrounded by ā€˜energy-drainers’. identify them. They can be people, TV, Netflix, food, fashion, social media, temptations… just anything. There is no universal law. You decide what helps you deposit and what makes you withdraw.
Durability is not an in-built quality. It needs to be created. A ballon can be fragile or it can be made durable. To make a durable ballon requires more resources than a fragile one. So, identify your resources.
You don’t have resources? Well, resources always have alternatives. People thought coal was the only energy source, then they discovered oil, then thermal power, nuclear power and now renewable energy. Who had thought cars can run without gas? Look for alternatives.
Success is always a collaborative work. You need people. Toughest job is to find like-minded, committed people who help you succeed without being envious. For this you have to invest in people. This requires patience because true character of people is tested only in crisis.
Those who are loyal to you in crisis are the ones who will help you succeed. But like I said, you just can’t withdraw from them and not invest in them. there is no resource like Human Resource. Cultivate them. Nurture them. Empower them.
Nobody can succeed in isolation. Ultimately whatever you create will be consumed by the society. Nothing can be durable if it doesn’t add value to society. Your wealth, fame, power, status, doesn’t add any value to society. That’s why people with all these are never successful.
A person with no money but enough credibility has more value to the society. Nothing in this world can buy credibility. Credibility comes from your behaviour. Always behave in the same manner as you would want people to treat you.
Always remember a table, in any form, has all the properties of wood because it is wood. If there is a creator who created you, then you also have the same properties. You are the creator. Believe in your power of creativity.
Whatever is around you has been created by someone. Products, ideas, stories, systems… everything. Just look around wherever you are right now. Now you decide if you want to die as a consumer or a creator. This is where the secret of success lies.
Creating doesn’t mean just a product. Your ideas, if useful for the society, will stay forever. That is durable. That is your legacy. That is real success. You are born to create. Don’t let this opportunity go.
Be a good communicator. This is possible only when you express yourself and not impress. It’s easy to express what we really feel. What drives, finds words. Expression is effortless and impressive. Impressions are fragile. Expression is always impactful. Speak from your heart.
In the end, without being healthy you can never have good energy. Without good energy you can never be creative. A healthy body and mind, effortlessly, becomes creative.
Meditate on your ā€˜durable’ thing. Focus on it like nothing else exists. Remember, Arjun and fish story? That’s real spirituality. That’s real self-realisation. For, in creation lies God. That’s #CreativeConsciousness. That’s real SUCCESS. All the best.
PS: and always share your experiences, knowledge with youngsters. Like I am doing. Knowledge has no copyright. Knowledge is meant to share. If not shared, it has zero value.
Please feel free to ask any question.
