This is false etymology of Ayodhya.
Ayodhya does not mean "a taboo on war".
Ayodhya(अयोध्य) means that which is "unconquerable/unassailable". अयोध्या (city) is derived from it.
This is the meaning given in any standard Sanskrit dictionary including Apte and Monier Williams
Notice the Christian pacifism of Gandhians at work.
The city which was considered "unconquerable/inassailable" has been misinterpreted to mean the city which had a total taboo on thoughts of war
