As most of you know, I built heycasey.io live on twitter a couple weeks ago.
It was a wild experiment designed to prove that you could build an ENTIRE business in under 24 hours.
Here's the full build:

After officially "launching" we acquired around 30 customers the first day.
Not bad for "friendship-as-a-service" π€·ββοΈ
Casey was chatting it up with her new customers and everyone was excited to see where this went.
But then we had a problem....

But then we had a problem....
Well, actually two problems:
1οΈβ£ Q4 is crazy and βwe have other companies we need to prioritizeβ -@ConnorAbene
2οΈβ£ βCaseyβ was unable to commit to a full-time role as Casey
I posted a tweet sharing that we had paused the project until further notice.
Then it got interesting π€

A few DMs started to roll in:
"Would you every want to sell Casey?"
"Do you think this tech could be used for X market?"
"Do you want a partner to run it?"
I talked to a few people but I wanted to be sure to give Casey to a solid operator.
I had my doubts until...

I popped on the phone with @ky_shaw.
He wanted to buy the company.
Within 7 minutes, I knew he was the right guy for the job.

After tossing around a few ideas we agreed on a price.

Now I want to be clear:
This wasn't some crazy 6 or 7 figure acquisition.
But, I am definitely happy about the ROI on a couple hours worth of work on a Saturday night lol ππ€·ββοΈ
He understood the value of the product and is excited by the potential for growth.
WIN - WIN β

Transferring everything took an hour.
We jumped the phone for 30 minutes to make sure he understood how everything works (it was quick because I already live tweeted everything lol)
And BOOM.
Now he owns heycasey.io and I have an extra $[redacted] in the bank π€·ββοΈ

This whole experience was a blast.
Building this company live with all of you was so crazy and interesting.
Everyone's participation is greatly appreciated.
Will definitely be doing this again soon.
(and recommend you do the same π)
Just remember: speed + simplicity π
