MEGATHREAD!
It’s been long since I’ve done this, but after I dove deeper into $NGL I felt this one deserves the spotlights:
@GoldFeverGame the Promised Land, a #metaverse
Similarities with $PYR: Focus on utility instead of hype, as well as a great vision.
Let’s dive in! ⬇️
What is Gold Fever?
“Gold Fever is the first of its kind, a blockchain game with high-value productions. Its team of more than 35 (CR: now 50+ total) highly skilled game developers...
is making sure to incorporate quality 3D graphics and gameplay that rivals the production quality of major gaming development studios.” (article from July)
In short, the game concept attached (with the addition of the CEO that not ALL in-game items will be NFTs like stated below)
What does the game look like?
First let me repeat, a team of 50+ is working on Gold Fever the game.
Here’s the latest in-game footage (in engine editor so normally runs even smoother). Looks like a game not only P2E’ers would play, but also gamers.
In short, you pick a profession in the game (for instance miner or tribal) and your goal is to gather gold in a massive #metaverse world. This is the simplest explanation. The interesting part of the game is it works with mining claims...
Gold Fever foundation will sell mining claims per plot, where an amount of $NGL can be mined on the plot. An arena is then opened on the plot.
Then you play in the mining arena vs other players. Claim owner keeps a % of the gold, adventurers trying to mine the gold, tribals trying to steal it. When timebox runs out or all gold is found, game is over.
The fact that Gold Fever duplicates the real world with this detail, or actually the world from the gold rush is something we have rarely seen yet.
To describe the game in detail is just too much for a Twitter thread. You should head over to their medium page, where a lot is described. It gives you an idea how much they are thinking this through.

Why is Gold Fever unique?
How many games have you seen that have triple A graphics but also have a well thought out P2E economy.
In Gold Fever, they are giving equal attention to both....
The game looks fantastic, and the CEO has a clear vision on the game & tokenomics. Also, they lay emphasis on building/utility, not on hype. Obviously a shared value with $PYR.

What do gamers think?
Check out this review made by @Zueljin from three months ago (!) where he tests the game and gives his view.

Roadmap
Below is the roadmap from the website. The game has been delayed (see Q3) because they are moving to Unreal engine 5.0. For me it’s positive they give sustainability and state of the art graphics priority over releasing ASAP.
To add, currently $NGL is an ERC20 token and also available on BSC, but for the game they are pivoting to L2 @0xPolygon to avoid fees.

Benchmark analysis
We should benchmark vs other blockchain games not released yet.
$ATLAS @staratlas 400M Marketcap
$ILV @illuviumio 950M
$TLM @AlienWorlds 544M
$NGL @GoldFeverGame 60M
I should add that we don’t know when a game like Star Atlas will be live.
Gold Fever is nearing Beta stage (EoY TBC) where invitees will be able to play. The game and economy looks incredible already, and it’s not just a 30 sec trailer.
The team
The CEO of the project is Emilian Ciocanea. When you talk to him on Discord you get a great feel for what he is trying to achieve, as he is more than open to describe in detail the vision he has.
Also, he pushed the whole *investment* part to DAOMaker, because he wants to focus on the product.
For GoldFever Emilian was inspired by games like Anarchy Online, WoW, Eve online, The Forest & Rust. His opinion is that the crypto gaming space is lacking awesome playable games.
Also, his vision is that “in order for crypto P2E games to be sustainable, they also have to be fun, adventurous and have to appeal to a large gaming audience. Otherwise when the bear comes, their entire economy sinks.”
According to Emilian there are now over 50 people working on @goldfeverthegame.
They have teams in Minsk, Romania and Cuba, and they work with third parties around the world. For instance they outsourced sound effects to a Dutch company.

Token Distribution
Total NGL supply is 170M. Circulating supply is 12.4M.
Most tokens (44%) are reserved for the P2E economy, where there will also be burn mechanisms to obtain rights/upgrades/roles.
Team & advisor allocations are relatively small.
There was a (very limited allocation) public sale on DAOMaker (SHO allocation). IEO price was $0,145 (1.8M marketcap). IEO was on Huobi Primelist, 2nd ever project only after Immutable X.
To me this is bullish and shows a big partner like Huobi supports the project.
Vesting
Seed and VC rounds have received 10% tokens at TGE (included in 12,4mln circulating supply). There’s now a 3 month cliff period (until end of Feb 22).
Monthly vesting after that but very responsibly, <4% monthly (see below) so 2 years in total.
More details on the funding and vesting:
Guilds
No guilds are confirmed yet, but I am sure the likes of $MC @MeritCircle_IO , $YGG @YieldGuild and $AGG will be watching this, as to me it seems perfectly suitable for P2E scholarships.
Conclusion
For me $NGL ticks all boxes. The fact that they are where they are now shows that they have the right people and the right focus too. A dedicated CEO with vision, ambition & heart for what’s being built is what I look for when searching for the good stuff.
Excited!
