A: In my book I will make Tahrīr on the statements of individual scholars
B: How have you defined Tahrīr?
A: Gathering together all of the statements of the individual scholar that seemingly contradict one another in one place & then critically analysing its context
to thereby combine these statements together and to then come out with specific view regarding the opinion of this individual scholar. An opinion based on a comprehensive reading of his words.
B: But in your book you failed to even gather the statements of those individual scholars’ whose opinions you want to make Tahrīr of let alone even begin to critically analyse their statements.
And on a deeper look, you’ve only chosen quotes of theirs that favour your own view
and you’ve not even mentioned the quotes of those same figures that are used by those with an opposing view to you.
How can you then claim Tahrīr of these scholars’ statements when you’re not even quoting their quotes that are usually used against your view?
