Thread on the post-Imperial period of Maharatta Dynasty of Somavanshi Rashtrakutas and their *only* real representatives.
Over 9 inscriptions of the Imperial Lattalura Rashtrakutas state that they belonged to the SomaVamsa or Lunar Race and were descendants of Yadava Yuyudhana Satyaki.
Latur Copper Plate of Mahasamanta Rashtrakuta Kanharadeva(Krishna) V dated 1019AD states of his forefather Rashtrakuta Bhammaha as being "born of the illustrious MAHARATTA race".
जयं (स्वाभा) विकं प्रारेस्कुलाविचलित धने । भाविंभिस्तै  महारठैः सगर्भाणि (व) तिक्रमैः ॥ १ ॥
Ratta Bhupala Bhammaha of Latur, who is mentioned as the ornament of Rashtrakutakula was the father of Jakkavai, the chief Queen of Kalyana Chalukya Emperor Tailapa II.
Bhammaha's son Rashtrakuta Jhanjhadev was the father of Lakshmidevi or Lacchiyavai, wife of the Great Bhillamadev II Jadhav of Seunadesha & Yadava Queen regent during her son's minority.
She is mentioned to have "revived the name of the drowning house of Imperial Rashtrakutas".
The Kanhegaon Marathi inscription of 1258 CE mentions Gopaladeva, the Maratha King of Latur and Mandlika of Kanherao (Yadava Krishnadeva) as "Rashtraudavanshodbhava" , "Lattaluraprasada" & belonging to SomvanshKula.
Somavanshi Maratha clan owns several villages in Udgir and Nilanga Talukas of Latur, Nitur and Rashtroda being their main villages.
They and their various branches solely represent the Imperial Rashtrakuta line.
