Are you a person who struggles with mornings?
I use to dread them. Always felt like I didn’t pick up my momentum until the afternoon.
That was until I kickstarted my days with this simple routine that will have you owning the day NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

1. As soon as the first alarm sounds I get right out of bed. No hitting snooze 10x times. You may think your getting some extra rest, but what you’re doing is setting your day in the negatives before it even starts

2. Upon getting out of bed I drink 32oz’s of room temperature water with some pink Himalayan salt to rehydrate and wake up my body. WATER BEFORE COFFEE ALWAYS.
3. Make your bed. Seems trivial right? It’s not. Congratulations, you just made your first productive move of the day and crossed an item off your to do list in the first 5 mins of being awake! amazon.com
4. Breathe. @Iceman_Hof Breathing exercises to be exact.I do about 4-5 rounds of this and feel more alert and mental clarity after each round. It is important to note to do these on an empty stomach for maximum efficiency.

5. Meditation. After my breathing exercises I feel a natural high that feels blissful while laying on the ground concentrating on my inhales and exhales. If you’ve never meditated apps such as @calm & @Headspace are a good start.
6.Journal. I try to journal in the AM &PM daily because the benefits of letting my thoughts out on paper have been beyond beneficial. I don’t plan my day in this session. Just let me mind and thoughts run free on paper.
7.Stretch/yoga Stretching is beyond important for unlocking the energy trapped inside your tense muscles after laying dormant for 5-10 hours. If you don’t know where to start with a routine I recommend this yoga for beginners youtu.be
8.Cold shower. This is the last item on my morning routine. Cold showers may seem intimidating, but the benefits of them are OUTSTANDING. Alertness, releases stress hormones, strengthens cardiovascular muscles. Start with a warm shower, then crank that baby to cold at the end🥶
9. This regimen usually takes me between 20mins-60mins every morning.
Times and reps can be adjusted and manipulated with what works best with you.
Owning your life comes from owning each day. Kickstart your mornings with this routine and see the changes that it instills.
