By this time message was relayed to the Alpha Coy of 23 Punjab, 30th Infantry Brigade at Longewala that either hold till reinforcement arrive or fall back. The rest is history which was written in the golden words as "Battle of Longewala"
Chamb has been invaded yesterday in 71 by Pakistani forces, Pakistanis scored the victory here by capturing 120 Sq Kms of the area and destroying several Indian armored and artillery components by heavily outnumbering Indians.
Pakistanis made false claims to an ex-French General Gen Andre Beaufre (Retired) of annihilating Indian armor in Chamb. Some photographs were shown to him, he later visited Chamb but found that the Pakis were lying and didn't get that much Indian equipment destroyed.
Major Chandpuri got arty support in Longewala from 170th Field Regt & 168th Field Regt "Sierra Battery". Yesterday when PAF attacked 🇮🇳 airbases, Major Chandpuri sent a platoon to recon Boundary Pillar 638 led by Lt. Dharam Veer. This platoon will spot the Pak force coming in.
6 Rajput made an attempt to capture Ghazipur on night of 3 Dec, 🇵🇰 defended it very well. There was no time to deploy reserve as pakis were reorganizing their defense. 🇮🇳 recon spotted 🇵🇰 reinforcement in the area and arty guns. 22 Baluch reinforced 🇵🇰. They have great bunkers.
