π Kalayavana vs. Bhagwan Shri Krishna βοΈ A Man whose Wit equalled Bhagwan. During the Mathura-Magadha War, Bhagwan Shri Krishna sent a Black Snake in a jar to Kalayavana as an intimidation. Kalayavana understood the message & filled this jar with Ants who destroyed the Snake!
Following this test of Kalayavana's mental prowess, the Yadavas began their exodus from Mathura to Dwarka. It was only after securing Yadavas in West Coast, that Bhagwan Shri Krishna returned to face and defeat Kalayavana. Source: Harivamsa Purana of Veda Vyasa, CXIV, 29-38.
KΔlayavana, Ally of Jarasandha, was in fact the son of none other than Yadava Vrishni & Andhaka Kul-Guru Rishi Gargya himself! King of Yavanas, who had no son of his own, invited Rishi Gargya to breed heir for him with milk-women. Gargya chose Apsara Gopali who was in disguise.
Kalayavana grew up among the mlecchas & raised a powerful horde of Shaka, Tukhara, Darava, PΔrava, Tangana, Khasha, Panhava under 100s of Mleccha kings. Its said that his huge army could collectively urinate & excrete equal to quantity of a RIVER, that was named Ashwasakrit!
