Nuruddin mubarak Ghaznavi of Sohrwardi sect advised Iltumish that Brahmin must be uprooted as he is the chief of idolatry and because of this Brahmin Kufr and Shirk prosper
This brahmin chose to sacrifice his life but did not convert. 3 tonnes of his sacred thread was burnt down by the king Sikandar. Hazrah Amir Akbar who witnessed this asked Sikandar to stop the Ghastly killing of Brahmins and impose Jizzya

one thing more even in ancient times Brahmins fought and sacrificed their lives for their nation.Right from Alexander's time.They fought and died.They also denounced those prince who submitted to Alexander as a part of their Dharma.Jauhar was practiced during that time also
Even today this Brahmin is not shying away in sacrificing himself for Dharma. Though the whole system is against him.
All communities have had a great contribution in our great civilization.
