🕉 #KuchelaDinam today falls every year on the first Wednesday of Dhanu (margazhi) Masam.Bhakt Kuchela, a gurukulam friend of Bhagwan Krishna, reached Dwaraka to meet his childhood friend. Kuchela had fallen on desperately bad times with nothing to feed his wife & children🚩1/10
🕉Kuchela, a great Krishna bhakt, was requested by his wife to seek Bhagwan Krishna’s help, who was then King of Dwaraka. Kuchelan did not wish to go bare-handed to meet Bhagwan Krishna, but the family had nothing of value🚩2/10
🕉 Kuchelan’s wife went from house to house & got some paddy which she pounded & handed over the resulting “aval” (poha)tied in a piece of cloth to Kuchelan to offer to Lord. There were hardly three mouthfulls of the “aval”Kuchelan finally reached Dwarka🚩3/10

🕉 He was also embarrassed to offer the humble “aval” to Bhagwan. However, Bhagwan Krishna spotted “aval podhi” (aval packet) that Kuchelan was attempting to hide. He grabbed the “aval” from Kuchelan & promptly put some aval in His mouth 🚩7/10
🕉 At that moment all poverty disappeared from Kuchelan’s house in the place of his hut stood a big palace His wife & children were dressed in royal finery.Enough rice & grains filled their house to last them a lifetime 🚩8/10
🕉 Unaware of everything that had happened & riches awaiting him Kuchelan made his way home, his heart full of joy, after having met his Sakha!Kuchelan did not ask for anything but Bhagwan gave him everything & more in exchange for his “aval”such is HIS Love for his Bhaktas🚩9/10
🕉 It is extremely auspicious to offer ‘aval nivedyam” to Bhagwan Krishna on this day. Equally auspicious is the recitation of Kuchela vrithham from Narayaneeyam or Bhagavatham. Devotees pray poverty be eradicated & prosperity follow after aval nivedyam🚩10/10
