Can there be any greater distortion of history than this?
The most important point that f0rger has missed is that Jodhpur was part of the constituent assembly of India since April 1947, the decision was made by HH Maharaja Umaid Singh while this case is of May.
How can an event that took place in May influence the decision of Maharaja in April when he has already shown his tilt towards acceding to India?
Jodhpur acceded to India on 11th August 1947, before India's independence and even before accession of Dholpur Jat state on 14th Aug.
I can also go on to explain the relation of Jat Raja Udaybhanu Singh, Nawab of Bhopal Hamidullah Khan, and Mohd Ali Jinnah and what made Raja Udaybhanu Singh the last ruler of Rajasthan to accede to India, but maybe some other day.
I sense the whole event is made up, but still let's look at his tweets.
Jakhar says the protests were done by Jat soldiers for India's independence, but letter he posted itself says that the protests were made just to extract leverages for their own Jat community &not for nation.
Letter also notes that the records of any such protests are not available with the govt. of Rajasthan, well that is still understandable but how could this be missing from Jodhpur archives, British records & notes of Leonard Mosely? considering this event was around Independence.
What seems to be another great miss is that Ram Niwas Mirdha has related these protests with the Marwar Lok Parishad. Seriously?
Marwar Lok Parishad was an urban elite class movement having Brahmin, Kayastha & Oswal leadership with negligible Jat presence.
Jats had their own political outfit in the state of Marwar called the Marwar Kisan Sabha, founded by Baldev Ram Mirdha, the father of Ram Niwas Mirdha, all Jat protests were done under this banner that why would RN Mirdha call these soldiers part of Marwar Lok Parishad?
Reason, why RN Mirdha may have called these alleged protestors part of Lok Parishad are:
1. RN Mirdha was part of Congress himself & Lok Parishad was a Congress faction.
2. Kisan Sabha had a notorious image for being a power-hungry outfit, behind the downfall of INCs JN Vyas Govt.
By now v know that urban elite led Marwar Lok Parishad & Jat led Kisan Sabha were totally independent movements, with different interests, any serious student of history would know that Jats would never support another political ideology in presence of their own political outfit.
So,we can draw following inferences:
1.Incidents seem to be made up in absence of any other evidences.
2.The facts stated in the thread don't match up with actual events.
3.Jodhpur was already part of constituent assembely before this incident & signed papers much before Dholpur.
4. Don't provoke us unnecessarily or we have to write another detailed thread on why Dhaulpur Jat state was the last state in Rajasthan to sign the instrument of accession.
