Did you know a Latte and Capuccino are the same, ingredient-wise but have different proportions?
Let's learn how to tell your coffees apart ☕️
Know Your Coffee.
This is a 30-minute infographic I just made from the Delhi Airport Lounge.
Ordering coffee, it dawned upon me that I had no clue what a Latte or a Cappucino is and I have ordered coffee all my life based on how the word sounds to me.
So I decided to do some research.
Espresso is a concentrated form of coffee served in small, strong shots and is the base for many coffee drinks.
Latte is comprised of a shot of espresso and steamed milk with just a touch of foam.
Cappuccino is a latte made with more foam than steamed milk, often with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or cinnamon on top.
With a similar flavor to black coffee, Americano consists of an espresso shot diluted in hot water.
The macchiato is another hot espresso-based drink that has a small amount of foam on top.
Frappucino is a naughty version of macchiato which is an icy, blended beverage with an espresso base and milk and sweeteners.
The mocha is a chocolate espresso drink with steamed milk and foam.
Served with a scoop of ice cream and a shot of espresso, or two - affogato is best enjoyed with a brownie.
