Ok ok ok!
I know there's been many arguments about the HCA routes and many of these are valid. But do you know it's possible to come to the UK with a IELTS score of band 4.0 as a HCA and become a UKRN after one year without the need to write another IELTS ?
A very short #Thread
Let's quickly take a look at the NMC English requirements for overseas trained nurses.
1. You have recently achieved the required score in one of the English language tests accepted by the NMC ( IELTS or CBT )
2. A pre-registration nurse, midwife or nursing associate qualification which was taught and examined in English. There's been a lot of arguments about this particular evidence in past years and I've not seen or heard anyone who's come as a nurse with it, so it may not be valid.
3.Recent practice of at least one year in a majority English speaking country. If you've successfully practice in the UK as a HCA for one year, then I don't think you need IELTS to start or continue your registration with NMC as a nurse. Visit nmc.org.uk for more.
