A discussion on Hittite texts and relationships to Greek tradition, something Bachvarova has been pushing.

There good points in Bachvarova's scholarship but also some terrible ones. Good point: she makes a similar argument as we have made (manasataramgini.wordpress.com) for the presence of an Iliad or Iliadic fragments in an older language based on metricality. This suggests that it was a
general phenomenon that often confounds the "text dating" exercises. The bad points: The idea that Apollo was some how a god acquired from an Etruscan like relic group in West Asia falls into the usual trap that some IEanist do. It simply meant the presence of @huntersrolinson
local Greeks who were worship Apollo which she acknowledges. The terrible howler is when she strays outside her domain (despite being a paper Sanskritist) by claiming the existence of a pro-rAvaNa tamiL rAmAyaNa -- it show how even scholars can hit the street after imbibing some
heady toddy abundantly distributed by the Dravidian stock. But overall useful to see how in West Asia Indo-Aryans, perhaps Iranians, Greeks and Hittites were all interacting in a relatively narrow window against a backdrop of various non-IE peoples.
