Kalidaas is known as the Shakespeare of India. Chankaya is known as Indian Macheavilli. However both kalidas and chanakya existed thousands of year before Shakespeare & Macheavilli.

Same goes with the chankaya, his Arthashasta talks about welfare, governance & statecraft and all Macheavilli talks about is suppression of the subjects. Only similarity between them is both favored monarchy, the then existing systems.
Meaning is that our scholars were not only existed way before these so called scholars of today but, their works were also far more superor than the today's scholars.
