If you've seen my pinned thread about high ticket dropshipping, you got a glimpse into the overall structure of our ad campaigns
As mentioned, we primarily use Google Ads
This is because our prospects are already actively searching our brands on Google, and ready to buy⬇️

This means we are getting much warmer traffic than targeting interests and trying to test different creatives/copy to convince them to buy
Makes our job easier, all we have to do is present them with a trustworthy landing page, a good offer, and phone support if need be

About phone orders --> a good number of customers (usually older & wealthier people) will want to place their order over the phone
They aren't as tech savvy and want to talk to a real human being to ensure they trust your store
After all, they have likely never heard of you...

There's nothing wrong with this. Closing big $$$$ orders over the phone is exhilarating
The only problem is that it makes it near impossible for Google to track these conversions
So our data in Google will always be a bit skewed and not fully accurate
But we manage.

Anyways, let's get into the specifics of setting up a campaign to test suppliers
⬇️
The way we structure our campaigns is simple.

1) Branded campaign
2) Generic campaign
Each of these campaigns serves a specific purpose in funneling traffic...
The branded campaign is for people searching the actual brand name
For example, someone searching "IKEA sofa" would be sent to the branded campaign
The generic campaign is for people searching regular keywords
If someone searched just "sofa" they show up in the generic✅

As you can imagine, branded keywords have more competition and higher costs
Google uses CPC (cost per click) to bid on ads
These campaigns are set up as Google Shopping ads, which is where high intent buyers search for products
So how do we segment out these campaigns?⬇️

Basically any keyword that you just never want to show up for, add it to your negative keyword list
This is the "garbage" list which applies to BOTH campaigns
Make sure to routinely check your keywords or you will be wasting money
So what about the other negative KW list?

The 2nd one we create is to send prospects from the generic campaign to the branded campaign
For this list, we will simply add all of our brand names to the list, and then apply it to the GENERIC campaign
This means anyone who searches a brand will be excluded from the generic

Go back and read that again if it doesn't make sense at first.
1st KW list = garbage keywords, apply to both campaigns
2nd KW list = branded keywords, apply to generic campaign only
This is exactly how we filter prospects through our funnel
Sinple really🥂

As you'll see, my cost to acquire a customer is HIGH
But when your average order value is over $1,000, you can afford this
You can literally spend hundreds to acquire a customer and still be profitable
Again, it's actually much lower than what Google shows due to phone orders

How much budget do you need to start?
It really depends on your financial situation, but I would recommend at least $10-20 per supplier per day
We use a shared budget, meaning it's split across the generic and branded campaigns
Aim for a 60/40 or 70/30 split favoring branded

Over time you can play around with it and adjust it
You can also adjust your bidding based on device - we usually favor higher bids for desktop than mobile, as people are more likely to be placing these large orders on desktop
There's more to the ads but I'll keep this short
