A movie or series on Maratha history free from plagiarism, sub-alternism, chauvinism, or ugly unprofessional camerawork, cringe dialogues, 10 vs 10 cheap stiff "action" and "war" scenes is still a distant dream.

Maratha soldiers were among the highest-degree trained fighters in India. That doesn't mean others were walkovers. The potential to promote Indian martial arts, & evoke love for Indic warfare history by appealing to love for violence & sports inherent in every human is boundless.
The first step in this direction would have to be done by us as an audience, not just for movies but ALL media by crushing sub-alternism, and putting down all chauvinists.
