The only way to make massive profits in any business is by building a real following.
You want to have raving fans that will buy all your new releases.
But how to build the following?
It all starts from the one basic element, providing real value.
If your books are valuable, people will take you seriously, and most of them will start following you.
It’s quite simple when you get it.
It's value over everything.
Always overdeliver.
Only after you’ve provided valuable information will the people start following you.
As you’ve probably already realized, when you sell books on Amazon, you don’t get any of the customers’ information.
That’s a bad thing since you have no way to upsell anything.
That’s why you want to start building your email list.
Building an email list is simple:
You need to give people something in exchange for their email without them even realizing that.
Here's how to do that...
Step 1. Create a short but valuable free book/product you’re going to offer for free.
It can be something a simple as a 10-page pdf file.
Step 2. Create a landing page using Mailchimp, Aweber, Gumroad or other similar platform.
Mailchimp is my favorite but Gumroad is probably more beginner-friendly.
Step 3. Create an automated email that includes a download link to the free product.
That should happen straight after they sign up to your email list.
Step 4. Include a “Free Gift” offer at the beginning or at the end of your book and insert a link and QR code to your landing page there.
You can find some free QR-code generators with a simple Google search.
Step 5. Make people opt into your email list so they get the free gift.
That's how the magic happens.
Simple, right?
Now you can
- Send them your weekly newsletter
- Start doing affiliate marketing and
- Promote your new book releases for your email list.
An email list with a lot of followers is a valuable asset.
It opens unlimited doors to make a profit.
Make use of that.
You can even consider creating a valuable book that’s available for free on amazon.
That would be your lead magnet.
You’d include your “Free Gift” offer on that book too. That free book would generate thousands of leads some of which will opt into your email list.
Think about that for a moment.
That’s the power of building a brand.
That’s the power of providing value.
You want to have a long-term mindset.
But keep in mind:
None of this will be possible with bad books.
