Based on a few events in my personal life. Here is why I am not a big fan of intellectuals who criticise Bajrang Dal. As I find them a lot ignorant to what goes on in the world where the pen is never mightier than the sword.

I held a Small responsibility in Bajrang Dal from 2015-2017.
From 2017-2018 was also a part of Rashtriya Bajrang Dal by Shri Pravin Bhai Togadia who broke away from VHP.
From 2013-to 2016, I was an active Mainstream Sangh Swayamsevak. These are a few incidents from then.

It was in 2014, me, a 19-year-old Nerd used to conduct a Bal Shakha(Children Shakha). In a small secluded garden outside a residential area.
College students came there a lot, for jogging, some for smoking and couples for things which no one would like in front of children.

1st Incident, a couple in a college dress walks in holding their hands. They sat just a few away from my kids. And start their touching, kissing, cuddling right in front of them. I was embarrassed, nauseating and disgusted. Tried distracting children but it was disturbing.
Waited for almost 10 minutes but nothing stopped. I asked kids to do a drill, went asked them to at least shift. The boy asked me to mind my own business. I called a few seniors, they came and then their parents were called and informed the police too. I did not bother much..
2nd Incident, Same Garden, Same group of kids.
This time a strong independent girl walks in with four boys. Yes, four and she alone, the epitome of women empowerment. They chatted for a while and then she went behind bushes with one boy at a time. They went in one by one.

The kids with me were not your average English Montessori ones. They were from Slums and Jhuggis. They started poking and taunting those boys and enjoyed the show. So I had to keep them in check too.

For one year I conducted a shakha in that Garden and 2 more. Such disgusting incidents in parks are normal. At least once every two weeks such events happened. Families and other students around are too scared to raise their voices.

In RSS we always looked at Bajrang Dal as a group of undisciplined mobs with nothing in their head. You don't know the value of a Goon Brother unless your sister gets harassed.
Pracharak of our Region left, we got placed in Jobs. No time for Shakhas, so all moved to Bajrang Dal.

So-called intellectuals criticising Bajrang Dal won't think twice before throwing a brick on someone. If such Vulgar incidents happen in front of their house or children. So stop being a hypocrite.

Police and authorities are always informed by Bajrang Dal. Nothing happens without informing the Local TI or at least SI.
No one would attend to the request of one family regarding such an incident. They won't even register a complaint unless you make some noise.

Religion is not even an issue. I have seen a Muslim Aunty contacting Bajrang Dal. For helping out with a nuisance created by a group of boys in a tea shop in front of the house. They sat there daily and harassed girls around.

The Rave Parties, Cabre Dances, Swings that happen during Valentine's week. Especially in tier 1 cities are Disgusting beyond you can imagine. Imagine your minor daughter, sister in them before blaming Bajrang Dal.
