Let’s take a look at #Iran’s lobbyists in Europe, with emphasis on one certain individual:
Eldar Mamedov
This S & D Group (@TheProgressives) adviser has close ties with the regime, parrots the mullahs’ talking points, and writes in pro-appeasement outlets.
2013 👇
@TheProgressives 2)
In 2014, in coordination with Iran’s embassy in Brussels, Mamedov drafted a European Parliament resolution “carefully worded to include some vague criticisms on human rights but to be entirely in favor of Rouhani and full engagement with Iran.”

More on Mamedov’s close ties with Iran’s Foreign Ministry

This is interesting:
“assist their plans to destabilize the neighbouring government of Bahrain”
4)
Not everyone is personally invited by the regime’s Foreign Ministry to Iran.
From Mamedov’s own article:

5)
His reply to Iran’s dictator vividly shows his fondness of the regime.
BTW, the Swedish PM’s 2017 visit to Iran brought much shame to his cabinet, forcing the delegation’s members of the “feminist government” to march before the mullahs’ president with headscarves.
6)
Another sign of Mamedov’s close ties with #Iran’s regime can be seen in his anger over the killing of Qassem Soleimani, Tehran’s terror mastermind.
Of course, Mamedov never mentions how Soleimani killed, wounded & displaced tens of millions of people across the Middle East.
7)
Mamedov claims the Iranian public supported Soleimani. He is lying, just like mainstream media.
This thread debunks their claims.
8)
He says millions turning out for Soleimani’s funeral is proof of his popularity.
That argument is easily debunked. Dictators throughout history have been known to launch such “massive” rallies.
The thread below debunks Mamedov’s claims.
9)
Mamedov’s article glorifying Soleimani shows how he pushes Iran’s talking points.
He also praises Narges Bajoghli, a known Iran apologist/lobbyist who is quite fond of Zarif & wore a headscarf when meeting him in the U.S.
See thread below
10)
Mamedov is also quite fond of #Iran’s chief lobbyist Trita Parsi, founder of Iran’s DC-based lobby arm NIAC and currently Executive Vice President at the George Soros-funded Quincy Institute.
There are far more examples of this.
11)
Mamedov constantly writes for Responsible Statecraft, the outlet associated to the George Soros-funded Quincy Institute.
I have a strong feeling Iran’s chief apologist/Quincy Exec. VP Trita Parsi had a part in this.
(Thread on The Quincy Inst. below)

Another sign of Mamedov pushing Iran’s talking points:
Downplaying Iran’s belligerence & attempts to whitewash the image of Raisi, who is best known for his role in Iran’s 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners.

“Why Europe should lobby Biden to rejoin JCPOA”
amwaj.media
Mamedov won’t tell you about the flaws of Obama’s 2015 nuclear deal, and the fact that Iran uses sanctions relief money to support terrorism & boost its nuclear/missile programs.
14)
Mamedov is provided a platform to push Iran’s talking points by none other than Negar Mortazavi, a known & disgraced Iran apologist/lobbyist who has close relations with Iran’s former FM Zarif & DC-based lobby arm NIAC.
Who is Negar Mortazavi?👇

15)
Mamedov himself is also quite fond of Zarif.
Periodic reminder: Zarif, despite his smiles, had a very close relationship with Qassem Soleimani, Hezbollah, Bashar Assad, and…
More on Zarif in this thread
16)
Mamedov is one example of Iran’s network of apologists/lobbyists.
Political parties in democratic countries should be extremely careful whom they choose as their advisors.
