Hierarchy.
"This isn't a place, with all due respect, like Iraq or Afghanistan ...
This is a relatively civilised, relatively European (I have to choose those words carefully too) city, where you wouldn't expect that or hope that is going to happen."
"Just to put it bluntly, these are not refugees from Syria, these are refugees from neighbouring Ukraine.
That, quite frankly, it is part of it.
These are Christians, they are white, they're ... um... 'very similar to the people that live in Poland'."
Meanwhile, as people flee to the Polish-Ukrainian border, Ukrainian troops are bravely serving their nation by segregating people by race, and placing black people at the back of the line.
Hint: Foreign citizens make useful hostages and bargaining chips.
In the USA,
"They already view these populations as deserving of human rights violations, they already dehumanize them etc.
Always remember, the violence is intentional and the point - no matter how much they try to pretend it isn’t."
- Tamanisha John
"It’s very emotional for me because I see European people with blue eyes and blonde hair being killed."
Which is why your Ambassadors have lately been simultaneously begging and threatening African and Asian countries to come to your rescue? Very smooth.
Golden words.
Bookmark it, screenshot it, frame it, and shove it in the face of any Western "journalist", "academic", or "diplomat" who tries to shame you into servility.
They only lecture those who don't fight back. They only respect those they fear.
P.S. The feeling is mutual, for reciprocity is the basis of international relations, and it is not enough that we succeed, they must fail.
Indian student: "The Ukrainian military and police are sending these [international] students back.
The way the students are being sent back is, by firing in the air, beating with batons.
Another method is to ram cars and vans into groups of students."
"Angel, an Indian student, can be heard saying on a video that she and her friend were pushed and beaten.
Adding that the police tried to ram their vehicles into the group of students, Angel said that Ukrainian soldiers did not care that students fell."

International students being used as hostage population/bargaining chips.
"This student is saying in Gujarati that he has learnt that Ukraine army have been told not to let Indians cross the border until the Indian government helps Ukraine." - @SanksP

"They seem so like us. That is what makes it so shocking.
Ukraine is a European country. Its people watch Netflix and have Instagram accounts,vote...
War is no longer something visited upon impoverished and remote populations.
It can happen to anyone."

Guards let only Russians, Poles and Ukrainians through the border and demanded bribes from Indian students ...
Ukraine immigration officials turned them back, saying,
"When your government has not cooperated with us, why should we cooperate with you?"

Al-Jazeera joining in,
"Looking at them, the way they are dressed, these are prosperous, middle-class people. These are not obviously refugees trying to get away from the Middle East ... They look like any European family that you'd live next door to."
- Soros: I have witnessed Ukraine transform from a collapsing part of the Soviet Union to a liberal democracy and an open society.
- Ukrainian National Guard: Our proud neo-Nazi troops greased their bullets with lard against the Kadyrov orcs (Muslims).
BBC now reporting on the mistreatment that African and Indian students are receiving at the hands of Ukrainian state officials.
Including allegations (2:05 onwards) that Indian students are being targeted as retaliation for India abstaining at the UNSC.
In response, India abstains at the UNSC again, saying,
"Our evacuation efforts have been adversely impacted by the complex and uncertain situation at the border crossings. It is important to maintain an uninterrupted and predictable movement of people."
Unsurprising, but instructive.
"A reporter once told my class that she covered the Iraq war from the perspective of US soldiers because unlike Iraqis, they weren’t used to war and suffering."
Ukrainian ambassador in India all but confirms that:
A. Ukraine has no control over its border guards, running on "personal contacts",not Ministry orders; or
B. They are indeed keeping foreign students as hostages for a ransom/bribe/aid, as state policy
