This article sets out the reasoning that left me unable to believe Monbiotās writings on Syria are in good faith. He has never commented on this article. 2/

A more recent smear piece that Monbiot now highlights is another example of writing that I cannot regard as in good faith. Itās by Nerma Jelacic, whose approach to debate is revealed in this article. 3/

Monbiot also cites a hit piece in HuffPost - thatās the outlet that used to employ Chris York, who in his time there penned a dozen such pieces, by the count of @caitoz 4/

Monbiot also puts in a plug for the BBC Mayday podcasts. He doesnāt mention that their producers were subject to a rare censure by BBCās own executive complaints unit for slandering OPCW whistleblower. 5/

Predictably, Monbiot also links to an old attack on the Working Group syriapropagandamedia.org for raising concerns about OPCW. Iāll leave it to readers to decide which commentators address the matter in good faith. 6/

And one last thing, George Monbiot has apparently still not realised that calling someone a āconspiracy theoristā is no way to look like youāve won an argument! 7/
