Cardiac Failure is reduced CO despite normal venous return. I think numbers help to explain it.

Diastolic HF analogy is trying to inflate stiff party balloon. You can only half fill it. Systolic HF is like a well used flabby balloon with no elasticity. One can have a hybrid of systolic and diastolic HF .
