Let's do a thread of places you could visit in a day on a budget within Kirinyaga county.
#Thread
1. Thiba falls.
No amount of photos can do Thiba falls justice. I did say on Friday a waterfall took my breath away. Well here she is. I took these shots from Thiba falls resort 3kms from Kutus town in Rukenya. This's my favorite of them all.
2. Munyu wa ngugu spring. This one can be accessed from Kabare town. Kabare is on your way to Castle lodge from kutus. I was told the water is medicinal among other uses. I have always wondered where this place was but @jmuiruroe was very helpful. Asante sana.
3. Right next to the spring there's a waterfall. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Unfortunately the water wasn't much. Kiangazi is real.
4. Kathiri waterfalls. From kabare towards castle lodge is a place called kimunye. That's where you'll find these ones. There are charges to visit. They have a picnic sort of space. Beautiful right?
5. Right below these falls are other falls too, i don't know their name🀭. Killing two birds with one stone keeps getting better! Isn't it worth a visit?
6. Let's head back to Kutus town. On the other side of the town from grand falls garden you can access these falls. How beautiful though?
7. I did mention grand fall gardens. They have beautiful grounds for venues and they do sell food. They'll also charge you 200 to get in with a camera. Ridiculous if you asked me. I don't know whether they do it with everyone ama ni juu nilikuwa mgeniπŸ™„. I'll not be petty todayπŸ˜’
8. On the other side of Kirinyaga County towards Karoti girls there are these gorgeous falls by the name Gatitika. There's a mini waterfall right next to this one but due to the decreased water levels it's barely a fall at the moment.
Let me add two from Embu county. I'll be adding two more later in the month.
9. Iveche waterfalls. You branch off after Kenya school of Government on your right from Embu town. Unfortunately kiangazi is doing the thing.
10. Ndunda falls. I went for a wild swing the other day and one of the falls had dried up🀭 but here are shots from my previous visits.
