Nawab Fakr ul Mulk Bahadur II the owner and builder of fabulous 'Irum Manzil' palace,#Hyderabad held high administrative positions during Nizam's rule,was first chairman of 'City Improvement Board' which was a revolution in infra structure development of Hyderabad.
'Irum Manzil' palace constructed in 1870,old pictures of it in prime time.
First board meeting of 'City Improvement Board'was held here in 1913.

Palace was constructed on 400 acres of land,built area of 1,14,000 sft, had 150rooms, 9 hole goIf course,polo ground,boating pond,private forest.

Pictures of 'Durbar Hall' in Moghul style of architecture, 'Multi foil' arches,flanked with surrounds of floral and leaf ornamentation in stucco,fluted columns with 'leaf capitals' with
exquisite workmanship.

A high mirror adorning the wall with ornamentation of cresent moon and star at its apex,is the only remain in the palace now, this mirror defines how grandly the palace must have been furnished.

This palace is a 'museum of arches'and features various architecture styles of the world,
going through the palace inside out, I could understand the builder's fondness for varied architecture,a fusion of all styles put together.
