🧵 Getting started on SOL NFTs:
@feyi_x already made a detailed thread on what NFTs are generally.
here’s a link to the thread below ⬇️
New to Solana?
Community is great and active with good vibes and energy.
important Solana OGs to follow and get updates on what’s going on within the ecosystem as regards NFTs.
@SOLBigBrain at the top of the list, others @The__Solstice , @0xskellymode @cozypront etc.
Now to get started with Solana NFTs;
Opening a new wal*et:
most preferred is Phantom( available on IOS and Chrome extension on PC)
Slope extension on PC works well too and sollet web wal*et
Get $Sol from exchange like binance, Kucoin etc.
Because of the cheap fees on Solana , it’s easier to create as many burners as possible in a wal*et (cheap Gas fees are paid in $SOL for any form of transactions)
Solana NFT Mints can be done on project’s website or some Launchpads like Magic Eden (ME), Monkelab etc.
Market places to list your NFTs;
@MagicEden magiceden.io
is the most used, then Solanart, alpha art etc
Getting Whitelist;
Be early to projects, some of them have discord locked, but being early gives an advantage to these projects.
* Buying some NFTs on Solana and verifying as a holder gives you access to thier alpha channel,
And most times dy give out WL slots to holders on a daily basis, you might be lucky to get WL for your favorite project through that,
- Twitter WL giveaways.
Don’t have WL for a project, What to do?
Either try hard fighting bots during public mints which is super hard or just buy WL token from the great @FamousFoxFed platform.
famousfoxes.com
Most of these projects airdrop WL tokens into ur wallet for mint. when you mint, this token gets burnt in exchange for the nft. So buying a WL token from FFF ease you from the stress of grinding. But buying the token for a project has to be really worth it.
Mint- NFTs are listed after a sell out on Solana. You don’t get to list ur NFTs immediately after a mint like it’s done on ETH.
Ps. Same way there are rugs on other blockchains, there are also rugs on the Solana blockchain, so you shld always DYOR b4 getting in on any project. Extreme hype doesn’t mean the project would blow up, underdogs tends to do well and thrive in this ecosystem.
The deeper you are in the Solana NFT space, the better you’ll understand meta changes and how to thread carefully with these NFTs.
Platform to follow up on upcoming mints; - howrare.is (there’s a disclaimer, so thread carefully on most of the projects listed, DYOR as always)
- hyperspace.xyz Is another platform to monitor NFTs generally on Sol and check stats/progress of projects
