My client landed a PM role at her dream company.
It came with a $30,000 raise and H1-B visa sponsorship.
Total time? Two months.
Here are the 7 steps she used to make it happen:

Here are the 7 steps she used to make it happen:
1/ Target Visa-Friendly Companies
Not every company is willing to sponsor a visa.
Companies who are familiar with the process will be much more likely to help.
We used MyVisaJobs.com to find companies with a successful history.
Then we made a list of 15 targets.

2/ Relationships > Applications
My client was unemployed and had a non-traditional background.
Online apps weren't working.
She wanted to get face-to-face so she could tell her story and sell herself.
She invested 90% of her energy into relationships and 10% into apps.

3/ She Made It About Them
Her networking emails didn't include her resume.
She didn't ask for a referral either.
Instead, she researched her contacts and made it about them:
- Mentioning their career change
- Engaging with their content
- Offering up an intro
Many replied.

4/ Conversations As Discovery
Each informational she had was a fact finding mission.
She aimed to learn about:
- The person's goals
- The company's goals
- The company's challenges
- New initiatives
More convos helped paint a detailed picture.
She spoke to ~30 people total.

5/ Pitching Her Value
She didn't just rely on a resume.
She took the info from the convos and built a pitch deck.
She isolated one big opportunity for her target team.
Then she made a 5 slide deck with 3 ideas for how they might capitalize on it.
She sent it to her contacts.

6/ Landing The Referral
Many contacts offered to refer her after seeing the deck.
For the ones who didn't?
She mentioned that she was in the market for a PM role and asked if they'd keep an eye out for her.
Naturally, those folks referred her in too.

7/ Getting The Offer
She walked into the interview armed with a few advantages:
1. Advocates who were actively selling her to the hiring manager
2. A pitch deck with ideas that spoke directly to the team's needs
They offered her the job with visa sponsorship and a 30k raise!
