It's remarkable that an organization that calls itself Hindus for Human Rights is dismissing a conference that platformed a Bangladeshi Hindu woman who described her mother giving her kerosene and a matchbox to keep next to while she slept as a little girl for NINE MONTHS…
…so she could immolate herself before Pakistani soldiers could rape her. Who described - through tears - how countless Hindu women were kept trapped in a house and were visited and raped by Pakistani soldiers for almost an entire year.
How when they got independence and were freed from these cages, no woman had a single stitch of clothing on them, how so many of them were pregnant with their rapists’ children and many of them had lost their sense of reality.
A conference that platformed the actual voices of Sindhi Hindu refugees describing their experiences of persecution and being treated as subhuman for being Hindu by the Pakistani government and their erasure in the press.
A conference that platformed a (soon to be published) study by @ncri_io- an organization that has nothing to do with Hinduism or Hindus - that proved with quantitative data that Hinduphobia is spreading like a virus around the world through networks of malicious actors.
A conference that amplified empirical evidence that substantiates our working definition. With presentations that will be publicly available on YouTube. That had a public Call for Proposals (unlike the conference HfHR supported).
It’s remarkable that a community org that claims to speak for Hindus never recognizes the scale of Hindu persecution.
And an organization that accuses Hindu orgs of attacking academic freedom is attacking our working definition of Hinduphobia, which was developed by scholars.

This is why we do what we do. This is why Understanding Hinduphobia exists and has grown exponentially in just one year. And the truth is rattling these fragile Hinduphobes. Their first and last resort is ad hominem attacks, while our data and evidence continues to build.
