There are only two things wrong at a fundamental level.
1. Sustainability has become subservient to Growth.
2. The Sacred has become a suspect.
Now, this massive. Ontology that drives the former & makes the latter a real experience are very big & are being demolished.
But the real crux is not this. Restoring the balance is not rejecting A, B, C...
Restoring is about restoring the 'Generative Framework' that actually ensured Sustainability guided by the Sacred.
In the process if we must destroy something we will.
Instead, we seem to think that
1. We need to go back to structural reality A, B, C from X, Y, Z
2. Then we will get what we want.
Now this approach will not even get started. The moment you propose A, B, C the triad of Industrial Dynamic, Modernity, Monotheism will digest it.
What we need is a Problem Solving Framework where
1. The definition of a Problem is different from Modernity
2. Order of Priority of Problem is different from Modernity.
3. Technology is forced to defend why a non Technology solution cannot be deployed.
The framework of Purushartha can really help us get there.
We need a 1000 people to think and detail.
Fundamentally, we must think of Bharateeya Samskriti as a Generative Framework, a Computational System that computes a 'healthy next coordinate of life'.
But we are a bit stuck in the Structural Reality of it as it appears in some Texts.
As we begin to think of Bharateeya Samskriti as a Generative Framework, consisting of many structural realities, we will gradually get there.
That is the original purpose of the Sutra paradigm of Knowledge Representation and Computation.
Panini's methodology applies to not just languages, but the very approach to life.
We may be dragged away from the path where we were headed to. But once we get freedom, we will find another path, through our generative framework, one step at a time.
