๐Ÿ“Œ Chips Strategy v2.0
Double Gameweeks for 36,37 have been announced officially and the chips strategy topic is back on the table once more
In this part I will cover all chips strategies and how to navigate through
โ–ช๏ธWhat to do with WC, BB and 1 FH ?
WC34 is the optimal now in case you still hold the chip. That takes you to Bench boosting in GW36 with 15 doublers and hende will allow you to prepare well for DGW36 and DGW37
What about the Freehit in this case ?
My problem with FH33 can be concluded in two points: First is that DGW33 will be template with Arsenal, Leicester, Burnley doublers, and secondly is whether you really need to ditch single gameweek players from Liverpool, Spurs or Man City whome will have very tempting fixtures..
.. For double gameweek players from Burnley, Newcastle, and Man United
I can see two advantages for in FH33 is loading on Man Utd and New castle as well getting rid of Leeds, Wolves and Villa players who blanks in GW33
So if yo can easily navigate to 33 with 7-8 doublers i think you can save the FH to GW37 specially if man city doubles there according to their progress in the FA Cup and Westham Europe league progression
By that being said I prefer route 3 which is : WC34 - BB36 - FH37
โ–ช๏ธWhat to do with WC and 1/2 FHs ?
With no bench boost, I see that one of your freehits must be for DGW36 when we will potentially have 10 teams to double. The question now : when to use the second FH and the wildcard ?
Since you cant use the two free hits in two successive gameweeks so FH37 is not a vaild option here, so FH33 and WC34 maybe your route here
For those who have WC and 1 FH, I see WC33 to attack DGW33 and beyond until Freehiting in 36
โ–ช๏ธWhat to do with only BB left / No Chips ?
I think both who have only bench boost or No Chips are on the same boat and their strategy wont differ in terms of planning.
Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool make up about 45-50% of our team structure and with only Bench Boost left โ€ฆ
โ€ฆ I believe that their players are set and forget for the rest of the season. Your target plans must be scattered into two parts : GW32-33 & GW34-37
Besides the three mentioned teams, The first period you should focus to add โ€ฆ
โ€ฆ Burnley ( 2 doubles between 32-36) Leicester ( 3 doubles between 33-37) and Newcastle (Until GW34) while the second period you will target Man City, Chelsea, and Everton who all doubles in 36 when you can use the bench boost
Bench boosting in 33 is a viable option with many single week players have amazing fixtures but i still see Bench boost with 15 doublers have the better chance for more points
โ–ช๏ธWhat to do with WC and BB left ?
Simply WC34 and BB36 with 15 doublers
โ–ช๏ธWhat to do with One FH and BB ?
Manage your transfers between GW32 until BB36 and then FH37
โ–ช๏ธWhat to do with two FHs left ?
With just two Freehits left which you cant use them in two successive gameweeks i think its FH33 and FH36 is the obvious strategy here
๐Ÿ“Œ Switch Kane to Son or Vice versa ?
Since GW26, Kane blanked only once scoring 7, provided 5 assists and have registered 4 double digits. During the same period Son scored 5 and had 3 assists with 3 double digits
Kane & Son double owners dont even need to read this section
In my opinion, I really cant find a reason to justify the swap from Son to Kane or Vice versa. People just got affected Gameweek by gameweek so if Son hauls and Kane blanks or vice versa then the swapping idea comes to the surface which i see its not good to think this way.
Just play with whoever you have in your team both will score similar points either ways. Furthermore, for Kane owners i cant find any forward in the entire game who is even near his recent form so selling Kane is not the best thinking imo
Should we sell Son for Bruno if we have Kane ?
I can consider this as a viable option just in case you have Wildcard in hand so you can bring Son back after GW33. Otherwise, Its not a justifiable move for me
๐Ÿ“Œ How many Leicester players we should target ?
Leicester city confirmed to have 3 double gameweeks from 33 to 37. So whether you have chips or not, Leicester assets should be strongly considered
The question now is how many players should we have and which players to target?
Defensively, Leicester kept only 3 Cleansheets since GW19. In terms of assets, I can no player is guaranteed a start bar Schmeichel (ยฃ4.8) so he is the one on my transfers list from Leicester defenders . Fofana (ยฃ4.3) maybe the 2nd best choice for me
Maddison(ยฃ6.8) vs Barnes(ยฃ6.6) [ P90 ]
-Chances Created: 1.58 v 1.14
-Goal attempts: 2.58 v 2.76
-Pens touches: 2.68 v 5.77
-NPxGi: 0.43 v 0.38
Personally I am strongly considering owning both from GW33 until the end of the season however if Iam choosing one i think i will go Maddison. stats are nearly equal while Mason has Free kicks, Corners and on penalties in the absence of Vardy and Tielemans
๐Ÿ“Œ Salah : Keep or Sell ?
This section will be a loud thinking. Salah is one of few players i dont look to his numbers and underlying stats because simply he is the best FPL asset for 3 years now
Selling Salah based on his recent form maybe is not my style of playing
People start to raise the question: Should we sell Salah for Son / Bruno ?
My answer is the same as โ€œ Selling Son for Bruno if we have Kane โ€œ as I would only consider it if i have Wildcard in hand. Yes Salah has Man City then Man Utd but we all know Salah can do damage โ€ฆ
โ€ฆ Regardless of the opponent name so its 50-50 decision here but personally I cant do it
I do appreciate the temptation for KDB and Bruno but going without Salah is some sort of a suicidal decision. This is Risk management decision so if you have the balls then do it
๐Ÿ“Œ Best Budget Forwards
The bad form for the majority of the forwards specially the premium and mid-priced this season has opened the gate for the budget forwards which allowed to use the funds elsewhere
For price bracket [ยฃ5.0 - ยฃ5.5] , I will cover two options
Jean-Philippe Mateta (ยฃ5.2)
In 7 starts, Mateta registered 4 goals and 1 assist. Since GW26, he is ranked 3rd for expected goals 4th among all forwards for non penalty xGi [p90]
Mateta is on my transfers list from GW34 until the end of the season
Cucho Hernandes (ยฃ5.1)
In just 8 starts this season, Cucho scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists this season and recently he became a starter for Hodgson in the presence of King, Dennis and Sarr
Hernandes had 2 double digits in the last 4 and could be an ideal budget enabler
Cucho could be a decent option for those who are player their BB36, but personally I l prefer Mateta due to his team form and also he has a great run of fixtures witha confirmed DGW37
