How to get things without trying

You have desires that you spend years obsessing over and working to get. But how come when you achieve them, it never feels satisfying - at least not for long?
Are we doomed to a life of pursuit? Or is there a way to get things without the meaningless pursuits?
Heard of Backward Theory?
The Backwards law explains how the more you pursue things, the more you get the opposite of what you pursued
- The more you pursue happiness, the more sadness you feel
- The more you pursue money, the more broke you feel
- The more you pursue women, the harder it is to keep one.
- The more you pursue pleasure, the more pain you get.
This is the premise of the backward theory
So how do you get what you want without trying?
Society adores the hustle culture. This makes you believe putting in the hours is how you get everything done.
The hustle culture could work for material success, but not for the things that really matter - the abstract things.
How come we have so much resources to be happy but we jump on every article that teaches about finding happiness?
How come the new car you thought would bring you happiness doesn't feel the same anymore?
Are we broken?
What's with this itch for more?
Why does the bar for happiness keep moving?
- Buying a new house makes you want another house.
- One million dollars makes you pursue another million.
Our insatiability shows that nothing in this world can satisfy.
Our desire for more puts us in more lack. It's like a cage.
In the Bible, it says there's he that scatters but gains more; but he that withholds and has nothing.
This shows how the pursuit of less is how you gain more.
We have enough. More is a trap.
How come
- You float when you try to sink
- You sleep faster when you're not forcing sleep
- You fall in love when you're not trying.
- You struggle to breath when you hold your breathe.
- When you share what you have, you live in abundance
Contentment with what you have makes you appreciative.
And being appreciative of what you have is how you get more without trying.
