BBC has a history of spreading fake news, those with the most dangerous and vicious consequences. The govt officials including the military have categorically rejected their ludicrous story. Here I'll like to add couple of examples from BBC's malicious propaganda in the past:
1. The BBC was a veritable arm in facilitating the US-UK military coup against Mohammad Mossadegh in 1953, by indulging in fake news and propaganda articles. Noel Francis Newsome as director of European broadcasts led what is still the biggest broadcasting operation ever mounted,
in 25 different languages for a total of just over 25 hours a day, across three wavelengths. Throughout the crisis, the Foreign Office and the British ambassador had ordered the BBC not to send any reporters sympathetic to Iran. Professor Elwell-Sutton was blacklisted despite...

2. Even George Orwell's Ministry of Truth in his book ‘1984’ was modeled on the BBC building in Portland Place, London.
3. In 2018, the BBC published an article, claiming that Ukrainian President Poroshenko paid $400,000 to President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen in order to extend a meeting. Later in 2019, BBC apologised and agreed to pay damages to Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko.
4. In 2019, the BBC published a story documenting alleged human rights abuses in erstwhile FATA. In response, the government of Pakistan prepared a detailed complaint dossier that dismissed the story as unfounded, biased and one-sided, stating that it failed to incorporate the..

I think not many are aware of the fact that the BBC is controlled by the BBC Board; whose Chairman is selected by the Prime Minister. That says it all!
