I was browsing @Airbnb looking for spot to host a company retreat.
I came across this place in Joshua Tree.
As I scrolled the pics I saw this lonely bottle of water (see 2nd pic).
Then it happened again...with Dial Soap 🙄
Idea sparked ✅
How cool would it be if instead of Costco brand water it was @drinkolipop, @drinksanzo or @DrinkHealthAde.
Or instead of Dial it was @usehuron, @vibebodycare or @BlackWolfNation
But "cool" doesn't make it a business.

Next, the idea 💭
Create curated brand boxes to send AirBNB hosts to feature in their homes.
1⃣ Brands get a new marketing channel to reach customers.
2⃣ AirBNB hosts get better reviews and get more bookings.
Everyone makes more money (including you).

Now you gotta test it 🎯
Let's pick a market + product category.
Ex: Mountain Getaways + Foods 🏔️🥣
Search Big Bear Lake, Park City, Lake Tahoe, and Breckenridge.
Why?
✅ Popular Tourist Destinations
✅ Affluent Areas
✅ Lots of listings
You now have 1,000+ prospects.
Next, send messages ✉️
Contact all of the hosts:
"Hey [first name],
I run [company] and we help AirBNB hosts improve their reviews & book more rentals by sending you popular products your guests will love.
It's 100% free for you.
Are you interested?"
This is the fun part 👀
If you send 1,000 messages...
🤷‍♂️ 700 won't respond.
❌ 200 will say no.
✅ 100 will say yes.
Look at those 100 listings on @airdna and find some data.
How many bookings?
Average number of guests?
Average booking price?
Now you have a product to sell 💸
Next, we need brands 🎯
Let's focus on food/drinks for the kitchen.
Why?
✅ Consumable Product
✅ Lower COGS (matters later)
✅ Higher LTV / Recurring Orders
+ who wants to shop or cook on vacation.
So let's reach out to a few of them.
Send a simple message to brand owners:
"Hey [first name],
I send 100 high-end AirBNB rentals curated products every month for their guests to try. I would love to have a conversation about a pilot program with over x guests.
Are you interested?"
Send this to 100 brands.
The math is similar to the hosts.
🤷‍♂️ 70 won't respond
❌ 20 will say no
✅ 10 will say yes
Make this offer:
$1,500 for a 3 month test.
3 will say yes.
$4,500 = validation 💸
The next step matters the MOST.
MEASURE THE RESULTS 📈
1⃣ See if guests tag the brands on instagram
2⃣ See if they buy (attribution survey)
3⃣ Gather feedback from hosts
Any data that shows it works will make it 100x easier to close more brands in the future.
This is the foundation of a scalable business.
Now that you have proof you can repeat and optimize the process.
