Q3 Financial Nos - The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 14.13 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 3.18 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 344.34 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially
by 41.39 per cent at Rs 413.66 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 292.56 crore in the corresponding period last year. During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 36.80 per cent to Rs 389.84 crore from Rs 284.98 crore in year ago
period. Other Income grew by 452.17 per cent at Rs 1.27 crore versus (Dec'20 Rs 0.23 crore). Operating Profit surged by 214.25 per cent to Rs 23.82 crore as against Rs 7.58 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 122.39 per cent
in December quarter. Interest grew by 115.67 per cent y-o-y to Rs 2.89 crore, while Taxation increased by 397.41 per cent at Rs 5.77 crore (Dec'20 Rs 1.16 crore).
Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Limited is engaged in producing lead, lead alloys, and poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) additives. The principal activities of the Company include converting lead scrapes of various forms into lead metal and alloys. It carries out smelting of lead battery
scrap to produce secondary lead metal, which is transformed into pure lead and specific lead alloys. It also manufactures zinc metal and zinc oxide. Its products include Lead; Lead Alloys, which includes Calcium Alloys and Antimony Alloys; Master Alloys; Tin Alloys;
Babbit Alloys, and Zinc Oxide, which includes white Seal and Pure Grade. Its products are supplied to battery manufacturers, chemical manufacturers and PVC extruded and molded products. Its product lead is used for radiation shielding, ammunitions, roofing sheets, extruded
products, solders in the electronic, plumbing, and automotive industry. It exports to its products to Asian region, such as South Korea, Japan, Indonesia and to Middle East.
