The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.
10 habits to change your life:
1/ Be intellectually curious
Society was constructed to limit and reduce your intellectual curiosity.
The system was designed to hand control of your life over to someone else.
The internet now allows you to now frictionlessly explore, create and share your interests for free.
2/ Be a truth seeker
The mainstream media are click seekers, it is your duty to be a truth seeker.
Avoid consuming the mainstream media entirely.
Their agenda of fear-mongering is not conducive to your success.
Go direct to the source and surround yourself with great people.
3/ Establish an evening routine
Your day starts the night before.
Say no to screens 60 minutes before bed.
This avoids suppressing your melatonin levels causing your circadian rhythm to decouple.
Prepare for the day ahead by organising the tools you need to win the morning.
4/ Establish a morning routine
Have a repeatable process that you follow every morning.
Humans are creatures of habit.
Exposing yourself to sunlight can help calibrate your body’s internal clock.
Exercise endorphins can help shift your body into wakeup mode.
5/ Learn how to break bad habits
Start by visualising yourself free from the bad habit.
Plan a sustainable path and track meticulously.
A public declaration with a friend or community can hold you accountable.
Put good habits in place of the bad habit to leave no time for it.
6/ Exercise
Create a repeatable exercise routine to become physically prepared for what life has to throw at you.
High intensity resistance training.
Anaerobic cardio.
Aerobic cardio.
Mobility.
7/ Prioritise reflection
We get inspired at inopportune moments– they are the few times when we actually slow down.
Give yourself breathing room to be creative.
8/ Single tasking
At the start of each day, ask yourself:
"What's the one thing I can complete today that will give me the greatest payoff?"
Use your calendar to prioritise the task.
Engage in deep work by blocking out the noise and removing distraction.
9/ Give without expectation
When you give without expectation, that's when the magic happens.
Bring massive value to your friends and community over a long period of time.
You amass a bank of goodwill that compounds to provide you with enormous leverage.
10/ Regulate dopamine
Intermittent release of dopamine will give you a stable dopamine baseline.
Avoid drugs and caffeine.
Avoid short-term dopamine-driven feedback loops that are abundant in society.
Conscious consumption > unconscious consumption.
When building habits, choose consistency over content to compound over time.
