Another moving to Canada 🇨🇦 thread.
For those planning to move here or recently relocated without telling anyone 🙃. There are organizations that offer FREE Tech trainings, virtual/in-person job fairs to meet potential employers, settlement services etc.

1/ NPower Canada:
They offer FREE 15 weeks training program for IT Analyst, Data Analyst or UX design and is available in Alberta, BC and Greater Toronto Area. You’re allowed to work part-time while on the program.

2/ ACCES Employment
They have a lot of Connection programs - Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Healthcare, Engineering, Project Mgt etc. They also host job fairs to connect you with employers & frequent webinars on their programs and career workshops.

They offer a lot of FREE services such as career workshops, web development bootcamp, career loans for newcomers, settlement services etc. You can see full list is on their website. They’ve a career fair happening tomorrow - Apr 21

They have branches in different provinces. Their services include access to employers via job board, career coaching - helping with CV & cover letter. They also have hiring events and free paid trainings

They provide FREE English language, employment skills training, and settlement assistance programs in Calgary, AB and online.
