Odias while talking about Medieval period generally talk about Suryavanshi or Ganga Gajapati kings. It is obvious as there were a series of rulers in these two dynasties who continuously ruled by defeating the Turkic hoards attacking from all directions. Infact some 1/n
Of them were successful to invade and capture areas of neighbouring powerful sultanates in all directions.
So, it is obvious that it gives Odias immense pride to talk about these rulers. However, we have missed out struggles and fight back by rulers from Odisha against 2/n
Mughals and others. It is not that easy when you are decentralised and facing a centralised enemy with modern weaponry and your most important goal is to save the abode of Mahaprabhu. So, their struggles are noteworthy. Infact some of them many times successfully defeated 3/n
Mughals. Here is a brief list of rulers who fought hard in those difficult situations.
