When we’re first starting out, we think long-form direct response copy matters.
But in today's time with 10-second tiktoks & reels taking over
Clear & concise works the best
It took me 2 years to realize I didn't need to write 5000-word sales pages

Because my goal is not to become the best copywriter, it's to build the biggest business I can
Branding, positioning & social proof works much better today than 5000 cringey sales letters

Advice #2: Imitation is the fastest way to success
Everything you know today, you learned by copying people
You see, imitate & learn
Similarly, the fastest way to go from 0 to 1 at copywriting is to hand copy good sales letters
But after you reach 1, you need something better

But after you reach 1, you need something better
You need to write your own stuff
Develop your own voice
Build your own brand and style

Advice #3: Invest in mentors
How do you learn copywriting if you’ve never written a good copy before?
By getting feedback and improving on it

A few things that helped me:
• Buy coaching/mentorship programs for the experienced copywriters

Advice # 4: It's about your story
A quick story:
I started my first agency when I was 17
Initially, I used to hide my age thinking no one would take me seriously
Used to pretend I was 22 😂
Then, I once said my real age on a sales call...

Then, I once said my real age on a sales call...
Didn't close the guy, but he said he had mad respect for me
They taught me age isn’t what matters. My skillset and experience does,

Lesson?
Learn to make your "disadvantages" into advantages
Reverse-engineer how people think, and then you can improve your positioning based on your customer avatar

But don't be surprised when you find that just 1 sentence generated 90% of the revenue
The 80-20 principle applies everywhere, the 80% is the context setting for the 20%

The people who make millions of dollars from 1 product, 1 webinar, 1 sales page
