Here's why GREAT UGC content is NOT cheap ๐Ÿงต
First of all, just cause everyone is preaching about running UGC ads and all, doesn't necessarily mean that's what's going to make your brand successful.
If you don't have a solid brand strategy in place, you might want to start from there, as that's the bread and butter of a successful DTC brand.
Now, without getting off track here, why is it that great UGC content might cost you more than you think?
1) There are different roles involved when it comes to creating videos that convert.
At our agency, for instance, we have a creative director, a copywriter, and a video editor.
They take care of briefs and scripts, as they FULLY understand direct-response marketing principles and are always on track with the latest TikTok trends.
2) The amount of research involved is insane.
Just like running great ads, making UGC videos require a ton of research to make sure that 1), we find creative talents that truly live the life of your ideal customer, and 2), we create content that won't hurt your brand equity.
3) Great UGC can easily bring you a 4X return (to be very conservative).
It's hard to guarantee this, though. It mainly depends on how solid your overall brand strategy is.
If you're just starting out, paying for UGC will probably be set your brand up for failure, as you'd be better off building an actual audience and leveraging REAL social proof (whether it converts, or not).
