Most people think of propaganda as spreading lies or and making people believe in things that are not true. In fact the best propaganda contains nothing but rigorously verified facts. It is all about framing and selection. The point of propaganda is to make you serve.
2. The propagandist knows that once he has you acting in the right way, your thoughts will follow in order to justify your actions. More often than not that correct action is little more than generating the right feeling. He makes you feel guilt or anger.
3. Once you are feeling the way the propagandist wants you to feel, the next step to get you to do some action that signals your feelings are correctly aligned. He makes you feel like this action makes you belong to something larger. Now your life is ordered by the propagandist.
